This is a map of the highest-rated movies set in each US state, based on user ratings at IMDB. It's from the Map Porn subreddit, which is frequented by people who like maps. (get your mind out of the gutter.) Anyway, the map is interesting, and the discussion at reddit is worth checking out, as well. I'm probably most surprised that 'Groundhog Day' isn't the entry for Pennsylvania. I mean, 'The Deer Hunter' has Meryl Streep's film debut (i think) and John Cazale's film farewell (sadly), but it's not really all that. And, looking at this map, we should all laugh and point at Washington state. The entries for Iowa and Wisconsin, though, are brilliant.
