Capital New York has an interesting piece today on Gawker Media's growth plans, based on a video of an all-hands editorial meeting with editorial director Joel Johnson (and Nick Denton) in late April. Among the details:
Increasing full-time editorial staff from 120 to 150 by year's end and — with an effectively unlimited hiring budget — possibly doubling editorial by the end of next year.
Targeting growth in unique U.S. visitors to 80 million a month (from 60M or so).
And, to much hilarity, addressing Kinja hiccups. Sort of.
