Here in Boulder County, Colorado, we've had some heavy rains the past couple of days, and there is a lot of flash flooding going on - roads are getting washed out (as in, big gaps torn out) and a dam above Lyons has apparently failed and the town is largely cut off.
I've been listening to the emergency services audio feed all morning, and it's some scary stuff. People stuck outside, one middle aged couple reported to be holding onto a tree in waist-deep water, other folks trapped in trees, roads failing, etc.
I'm fortunate to live in an area that is safe from the flooding. It's just crazy wet hereabouts.
