A Columbia professor has been "live-tweeting" the Tiananmen Square Massacre, as today is the 25th anniversary. I feel as though many people in the West, myself certainly included, have a very incomplete understanding of the events of the day and this was very enlightening. (Warning: A lot of the images are very graphic and disturbing.)
I'm actually leaving to go to China for the first time tomorrow, so reading about everything surrounding the anniversary has been very interesting when juxtaposed against getting increasingly excited for the trip. I'll be in Tiananmen and the surrounding areas in a little over a week. I'll certainly be carrying these images with me when I am.
