This is pretty standard but I wanted to have clarification since Nick Denton's comments in the email spat with Don Lemon gave contradicting information:

We don't do off-the-record. It's just doesn't work any more. A waste of everyone's time, including yours.

If you want to say something, say something, and we will publish it with as much prominence as the facts you're contesting.

Set that kid straight, or get someone else to do it for you, if your dignity precludes a public rebuttal.

So for all of you wanting to go off the record, Gawker will still accept your comments! Just be sure to mention it up front like normal.
