Though I'm sure there have been other examples, the news last week that the hack of JPMorgan-Chase and four other banks was likely a threat from the Russians toward US policy regarding Ukraine, coupled with the news that officials have closed some Moscow-area McDonald's and have stepped-up inspections across the country, also possibly tied to the Ukraine, I can't help but marvel at how the field of Cold War battle has moved to a new front.

Of course they're probably cutting off their nose in spite of their face. Perhaps long term, US corporations could buy a change in American policy from a future Presidential candidate, but I don't think anything will happen in the near-term and these retaliatory-like measures aren't likely to spur a lot of investment in the Russian economy. What sanctions don't accomplish, they may do to themselves by scaring companies away.
