So I've been listening to Janet Varney's podcast the JV Club and she is amazing and it is awesome. It's just one big package of great!
First of all: you know who she is because A). she's stunningly attractive and been in really great things B). she's the voice of Korra from Avatar: The Legend of Korra which is the second best Avatar show of the Avatar shows which I hope never stop happening ever and C). she's one of the founding members of San Francisco SketchFest.
So why listen? WHY YOU ASK ME?! Well she brings in excellent female actresses, entertainers, comedians/comediennes and all other types to come in and talk about their childhoods, pursuing their dreams, insecurities, triumphs, as well as funny and embarrassing stories. What helps it is that Janet is a pretty comfortable host who is also very funny and not afraid to go down some dark roads as well as the lighter stuff. It is very good and her guest choices are so great.
I'm starting from the beginning and here are the first ten guests in order: Christina Hendricks, June Diane Raphael, Gillian Jacobs, Maggie Lawson, Laraine Newman, Natasha Leggero, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Jessica St. Clair, Angela Kinsey, Jen Kirkman.
Number eleven? Connie Chung. Connie fuckin' Chung. Give it a shot.
