You guys, I cooked black beans from scratch tonight and it was AWESOME.
I realize I seem over-excited about this, but I've always just bought canned beans and did ye auld rinse-and-drain. Which is especially sad given that I cook lentils and chickpeas from dried beans fairly often, but apparently never bothered with dried black beans.
Anyhoo, now I have a dish full of delicious beans with awesome texture and flavor in my fridge.
Now I just have to figure out how to eat all these beans. Looks like I'm going to be nice and regular all week!
