Today saw many comments worthy of mention, but only one knew what I was thinking and offered a fair rebuttal - how is this crappy use of space even remotely considered art.

From carcosa:

I hate it when people try to criticize artwork by saying it's "not art."

The only definition of art is something an artist wants to display as art. You may not think it's good, or interesting, or inspiring, or valuable, or provocative art. But a soiled rag put on display AS art IS art.

So, yes, if you wanted to start hanging your trash around your home and call it art, you can go right ahead and do that. Just expect a whole lot of haters if word gets out.

Fair point. And maybe I actually was opened minded enough to learn something today. Then again.

So it's a

period piece?
