A Georgia resident contacted the local paper with a report of a white deer. They kept the location a secret, but wanted people to know that the animal was there. The next day, another local man submitted a photo of him standing beside a dead albino, he had killed.

The photo of the trophy kill was posted on Facebook and picked-up by Georgia newswires, where a lot of people mourned the animal's loss and some wished it could have been tagged for scientific study. When a reporter for the Tifton Gazette contacted the original tipster to offer condolences, the man was shocked because it wasn't his deer. Both, he and a neighbor agree that it's a different animal and Thursday night, his was photographed by trailcam.

Perhaps adding to the confusion, it looks to me like the two have similar horns.
