The show has been creatively titled: Eaten Alive. The title Manaconda was already taken. Some guy is going to put on a snake-proof suit and allow himself to be swallowed by an anaconda. This is a real show.
In Eaten Alive, naturalist and wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie will be consumed by an anaconda while in a custom-built snake-proof suit.
The stunt will air Sunday, Dec. 7. Discovery is keeping the details quiet for the moment, but has released these two promos, below. We're told he covered himself in pig's blood to make himself appetizing. Since the "snake-proof suit" has a cord on the top of it, Rosolie is presumably pulled back out the snake's mouth after being "eaten." We are told the snake does not die. (And in case you're skeptical, we have been assured by a Discovery representative that this announcement is not a hoax).
I'd be more impressed if they did not pull him back out of the mouth after he was eaten and let him "pass" the natural way. I feel like I should be able to come up with more digestive jokes but I'm drawing a blank.
The snake preview is below. Careful though, it might be a little hard to swallow. If you ask me, the guy seems a bit unhinged.
