Nobody can figure out where the money donated to support the police officer who shot Michael Brown to death in Ferguson, MO, has gone. The crowd funding pages have essentially been shut down without comment, and one of the two fundraising pages was run by people who remain anonymous. There is virtually no accountability for the funds, and anyone who raises questions about the accountability on the officer's support page on Facebook has their comment/question deleted. To date, these pages raised >$500K, and nobody knows where the money is going or what it will be used for...

Another police officer, this one in OKC, was arrested and charged with coercing women (mostly if not all black) to have sex with him during traffic stops, or he would charge them with additional crimes. He's charged with 16 counts of this behavior. In his case, there's also a FB support page and a crowd funding site (not doing nearly as well, since it has only raised ~$7,500 in 9 days), and that seems kind of awful, too. But at least in his case the creators of the FB page and the admin of the crowd funding page is his sister. So, while the crimes are pretty heinous and unforgivable, he hasn't been found guilty yet, and it's not exactly shocking to think his family would be on his side, especially before the evidence is presented at trial. He's claiming his innocence, and his family is probably going to accept his story until or unless the evidence proves to be too overwhelming even for them.
