(AP) — Gawker Media is set to announce the purchase of Cosmopolitan, an international women's magazine, from Hearst Magazines, according to information leaked from both publishing groups today.

Sources close to Gawker Media publisher Nick Denton said that the print publication would remain largely the same, however the online version would be renamed "JezzO9" and be incorporated into the larger group of his company's sites.

"We believe that by taking the valuable information currently offered by Cosmopolitan and incorporating humor and a wider lens that we can reach even more people," the source said. "Currently the Gawker Media readership is considerably different than the Cosmo readership. By bringing both groups together we can create a wider discussion on what it means to be a woman in the 21st Century."

JezzO9 will be a reader driven online publication and will take its editorial direction from commentators and overall reader reaction, he said.

A leaked version of the beta homepage for JezzO9 includes the following stories:

"9 Ways To Tell If He's Cisgendered!"

"Is She Just A Troll?"

"6 Tips To Turning On Your Man With Moral Outrage!"

"Homo, Hipster Or Has-Been?"

Official representatives for both Hearst and Gawker said they could not comment before an online news conference scheduled for 10 a.m. EST January 2.
