Bad day for movie stars of another era. First the great Peter O'Toole dies, and now comes word that Joan Fontaine has died as well. She was 96.

"Rebecca," with Laurence Olivier (1940), made her a star and "Suspicion" (1942) earned her an Oscar.

In a famous Hollywood feud, she and her sister, actress Olivia de Havilland, were estranged for most of their adult lives. De Havillland, who lives in Paris, had no public comment on her sister's passing.
