Having taken a cursory look at the comments on the Main Page, it seems that most of the comments assume that the U.S. should extradite and also presume Ms. Knox's guilt. I find this fascinating, especially because by most reasonable accounts she and her then boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito had nothing to do with the murder of Meredeth Kercher.
There was open derision towards the theory that the U.S. would not extradite to a Italy, "because U.S. law dictates that a person cannot be tried twice on the same charge." But not extraditing seems reasonable under the circumstances, no?
It's also interesting to see that the narrative of Ms. Kercher's tragic murder being part of a ritualistic sex game persists, even though it was a completely manufactured fiction created and perpetuated by the prosecution.
What does virulence on the Main Page portend?
