Colorado has been in a state of severe drought for quite a while now. Back in early April it was so warm that many bulbs has already sprouted well ahead of schedule. For the last two weeks though, we've had only a handful of days without snowfall.
I would guess we've seen close to two feet fall. Far more in the mountains. This is great news for our water supply and fire suppression. Unfortunately it's hammered the hell out of my garden. Temperatures are well below freezing at night. Bushes that had just begun to bloom and pop their leaves are shocked and brown. I have no idea if mine will survive -it's their first year. So it's a bitter sweet time.
