A couple of weeks ago, my mod policy was questioned and some took issue with the idea of Crosstalk being an open forum. It appears that at least one of the other group Kinjas are planning adjustments to their rules, plus there's been the return of the greys, so I'd like to take a minute to revisit and reiterate ours.
Because it has come up regarding two unrelated situations, once in a DM exchange on Twitter and this evening in another community, I'm going to publicly state that since Crosstalk moved to Kinja and I was made "owner" of this forum, I have banned and/or have taken author privileges from less than ten people.
Last week sometime, I started writing-up a "policy document" which I had planned to re-top and post to the current timeline and link from the "join" post. Unfortunately, I got distracted and it's sitting in my drafts, but because shared comments have come up twice today...

I have always felt there's a separation between what is above and below. Though I don't think anyone should get too far out of hand in the comments, they're…
Pictured is benevolent Sheriff Taylor. He is one of the most recognizable figures in television history, which is why he's been named Justice of the Peace for Crosstalk. Hopefully we'll never have any trouble and Andy can stay down by the fishing hole, but if you need to call the courthouse, here's what you should do.
Crosstalk is a community blog.
The forum which it replaces was established in 2009.
