Anybody else noticing that on iOS, where it says “CommenterX and 21 others recommended your comment”, if you tap the 21 others it’s no longer a link and doesn’t reveal the usernames of the other recommenders?
The video overlay ads load after the page. Because the page includes comments, there's a slight delay between the initial page load and the ad. Though it's probably less than a minute, the delay is often enough for me to be a couple of paragraphs down and because big pics are the norm, it's usually after a scroll.
Tags have always gone along with shared posts, except during a glitch a year or so ago and back in the beginning, posts were searchable from the shared-to Kinja blog, but I don't believe that's been the case since the glitch. Right now, Kinja only searches posts sourced on the blog which initiated the search.
Kinja is messing with me again. It goes something like this:
Hi, Kinjatechs! Do we know why the View All has ceased to function yet again? kthx
Hi. It is sad that the man who set Bader Ginsburg's dissent to music has already impregnated me with his soulful eyes because in a just world I would be married to you until the end of time, have many of your bear-like progeny and wage battle against the Rob Ford(s) of the world with fierce shirtlessness (link) and…
It's not just Gawker, all the Kinja sites look like this:
Anyone else having problems with notifications? For a while today it was showing the incorrect number of notifications. Now it just isn't showing any. I'm on an iPad using Safari.
For the past week or so I've noticed something funny about my notifications. I'll see a number 2, let's say, and then when I click the little circle it lists one person, by name, who starred my comment. Or I'll see a 4, and then when I expand the list it says "3 people recommended your post." (regrettably, I…
For the past week or so, I can't access my notifications on CrossTalk. When I try it goes to a 404/ Tag not Found page. Anyone have an idea of what's going on and how I can fix it? Thanks.
I can't seem to get kinja to load there. The comments load on all the other Gawker verse pages though... I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 8.1
As I'm sure several have noticed, the sidebars on the new group Kinjas (or sub-blogs) are the forum owner's. It has been explained to me that they must "flip a switch" to make them behave like a group's. Thus far, no one has offered a timetable, if there will be criteria or the preferred method for filing requests.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has posted this, but I thought I'd add another one to see if it could gain some traction. On both mobile and the web, the Kinja interface where you view who has recommended/replied to your posts/comments generally only allows for four to five users to be seen before disappearing off…
So, as much as we love to whine about Kinja, most of us spend a fair amount of time here anyway, and I started thinking about what it would take for me to STOP complaining. I'm mostly acclimated to nuKinja now through force of habit, but there's still a few tweaks I'd make if I could.
I tiptoed over to Group Think yesterday and made a comment.
I've beenfacing issues with most gawker sites while browsing onphone. Whenihit reply and try totype a comment, this is what itlooks like withmissing spaces betweenwords. Or thecursor (?) Keeps hopping back and forthdeleting words. Also see images. In
