I didn't see that this get any follow-up coverage on Gawker, so posting here if that's okay - new details about the murder of math teacher Colleen Ritzer. I know there was some chatter by online experts in the field of "Speculology" that there had to have been some Notes on a Scandal-esque backstory to their teacher-student relationship but it sure as hell does not sound like it. The note found near her body said, "I hate you all" (emphasis added). In other bad news, last week saw the third murder-suicide in the area in the last six months (off the top of my head), which took the lives of a mother and her two eleven-month old twins. They would have been one yesterday.
If you need a pick-me-upper:
(Although I guess is Charlie Brown ever a pick-me-upper? Maybe I should have recommended some lovely John Ashbery poems instead.)
Only new movies I've seen in the last few days were old documentaries: Miss-representation (excellent and cannot recommend enough) and High on Crack Street: Lost Lives in Lowell. I'll have to refrain on the latter because it left me SO angry at the crack prostitute who refuses to put down the pipe long enough to get a fucking abortion.
I'm not a Thanksgiving person - I give thanks I have the house to myself for a few days - but I wish you all the best tomorrow. Eat lots of stuffing and green bean casserole!
