So I was looking at the concept art/notes del Toro had for his version of At the Mountains of Madness that io9 posted and I still can't believe there are people who want that to happen.

I say this because At the Mountains of Madness is sort of the best example of H. P. Lovecraft's shitty writing skills (though he does improve over time). The novella has an excuse plot and 90% of the action takes place in the form of gigantic history lessons that no person could interpret from some bas reliefs and statues. Yet people seem to love the story and want to see it translated to film and I feel like the odd one out.

Thus, I want to see what other stuff people don't like but that everyone else seems to love. Could be a book, TV show, movie, whatever. Another example for me is The Shining. I've sat through it 3 times and still fail to see what everyone loves about it. I adore slow burn, creepy horror and yet... nothing. So whatcha got, Crosstalk?
