Update on the Young Woman who Fell Asleep in Sub-Zero Temperatures

Gawker reported late last year about the college student who might have to have her limbs amputated after falling asleep in a drunken stupor after a night of drinking. Alyssa Lommel has had to have all of her fingers and thumbs amputated after falling asleep in -17 degree temperatures in December 2013. After a night of drinking, her friends dropped her off, but didn't stick around to see if she was able to get in her house. She fell asleep on the porch without gloves, and wasn't found until the next morning. She suffered from severe hypothermia and frostbite.
