Eric Garner's alleged crime was a misdemeanor, selling untaxed cigarettes. Cliven Bundy's crime is twenty years of unpaid grazing fees and fines.
When confronted, Eric Garner reportedly told police he was tired of being harassed. When confronted, Cliven Bundy and his men reportedly pointed guns at federal officials.
Reportedly, "[w]ith rifles pointing toward each side and tensions reaching a critical level, federal land officials backed off and agreed to give up the cattle to Bundy's family and supporters."
One man's crime is avoiding paying due money to the government and he ends up dead at the hands of four policemen. Another man's crime is avoiding paying due money to the government and he ends up being allowed to threaten the use of arms against them.
So, what is it about Eric Garner that prevents him from being a national RightWing hero?
(This is not meant to be a genuine direct comparison between these two men, which may be defamatory toward Mr. Garner who has never organized militias that threaten the government with armed force, just a comment on the ridiculous hypocrisy and racism of the rightest wing of the conservative movement.)
